| Community Involvement |
An important element of the MidAmerica St. Louis Airport Master Plan Update is the community involvement process. The process has two main components – project updates through this website and the ‘Keep Me Informed’ function - and a series of stakeholder briefings. To sign up for regular project updates click on the ‘Keep Me Informed’ button above. An email will be sent to let you know when new information has been posted to the website, and to advise you of upcoming stakeholder briefings.
A series of stakeholder briefings will be held through the study to brief airlines, tenants, public agencies, elected officials, businesses and other organizations at regular intervals during the Master Plan development process. The stakeholder briefings are intended to provide a forum for interested parties to understand the Master Plan process and to submit input and questions on issues concerning the future development of the Airport.
The first stakeholder briefing was held on February 27, 2007. This meeting focused on the Master Plan process, and provided an overview of the recently completed existing conditions inventory.
The second stakeholder briefing was held on April 24, 2007. The meeting provided an overview of the Draft Market Demand Analysis Working Paper , which addressed passenger, cargo, general aviation, military, aircraft maintenance and repair, and non-aeronautical demand.
The third stakeholder briefing was held on July 10, 2007. The meeting provided an overview of the Draft Demand/Capacity and Facility Requirements Working Paper, which addressed the range of potential future airport development requirements necessary to accommodate the baseline forecast and alternative demand scenarios.
